VERDICT: Armoured sprung a shock to get up by half a length over C&D and he would be foolish to dismiss off only 4lb higher. However, he could come out second best to Masterpainter, who showed improvement in a first-time visor when just touched off over track and trip, and he is due to go up 2lb after this. Lochnaver, who was also beaten a head into second on the same card last week, is another to consider.
