VERDICT: Eveque finally gained a first success on his most recent outing at Sedgefield when proving too strong for Coolmoyne (second). However, the former would have to command plenty of respect as the winner's improvement may well have come from stepping up to 3m3f and a 10lb pull at the weights could see Simon Waugh's gelding reverse the form over this distance. Le Grand Vert didn't appear to get home in the same contest and could bounce back in a first-time visor.
