VERDICT: The combination of a 101-day break and Oscar Palmer's useful 10lb claim saw an improved bid from Fidux, who finished a respectable second at Doncaster in December. A 2lb rise in the ratings for Alan King's veteran looks more than fair and compensation could be imminent. The downgraded Larry races off his last winning mark and he shouldn't be underestimated in these calmer waters, while Lord Accord is dangerous to discount if able to dictate the pace.
