VERDICT: A decent end to a nice card. Trainer Glen Kotzen has a good strike when raiding the Eastern Cape and Hat's Pride should be a big runner. He is on the up and if taking to the Polytrack he could send favourite punters home with a winner. Clap Of Thunder stormed home from a poor position last time out and deserves respect for that win but this is a tougher race. The same can be said of Timbavati River who won easily on local debut and clearly took to the Polytrack. Charlie Malone only got going late on local debut and he will be right there at the finish once again.
