VERDICT: Frankfreya showed likable determination when he got off the mark at Chelmsford 18 days ago and could be hard to beat with a similarly gritty effort over this slightly longer distance. The gelding needed every yard of the trip that day, creating the impression that he has more to give as a middle-distance performer. A 6lb higher mark obviously makes life tougher for the selection, and the likes of Albus Anne and Largo Bay look to be serious dangers.
