VERDICT: King Cabo (fourth) had Almarin (sixth) behind over C&D on his penultimate run and he followed that effort up with a pleasing second at Sandown in a class 3 event earlier this month. This represents a considerable drop in class and he looks the one to beat. Connections of Calypso replace cheekpieces with a first-time visor (plus tongue-tie), which could spark some improvement in the three-year-old and that would give him a chance. Karakoy is an interesting contender on his handicap bow after his success in a novice stakes at Chepstow and he also needs consideration.
