VERDICT: Although still a maiden, Lough Carra has snippets of solid form that suggest he can provide a bit of value in what it likely to be a tactical race. He has dropped to a workable mark and, assuming he takes to racing with a cheekpieces and tongue-tie combination applied for the first time, he looks worth chancing. Much depends on whether Hardy Boy is turned out again quickly after his second at Ffos Las on Saturday, but Toughasoldboots would rate the main danger in his absence.
