VERDICT: Despite lacking race experience, Montecam catches the eye as a half-brother to Altior. The son of Camelot cost 155,000 euros as a foal and connections decided to retain him last year, when buying him back for 300,000 euros. With that in mind, it would be no surprise to see him get off the mark at the first time of asking. Jackpot D'athou and the selection's stablemate Jaitroplaclasse both made the frame in France last year and have changed hands for six-figure sums since.
