VERDICT: Vicki Vale has been set some stiff assignments, pulling up in the Challow and finishing fourth of five behind You Wear It Well in a Sandown Grade 2 most recently. She has made her mark at the right sort of level, though, with her Hereford victory and second at Ffos Las, admittedly when sent off at odds-on, making her the one to beat. Western Safire made the best possible start to life with Laura Morgan when successful at Uttoxeter, although impressive Catterick scorer Zestful might be the bigger threat.
