VERDICT: It could pay to side with the grade-dropping Kilbeg King, who struggled in the Challow Hurdle at Newbury last December and is entitled to improve at this level. He does have to shoulder a 7lb penalty for his penultimate success over 2m4f at Ffos Las, but that may not be enough to stop him bouncing back to winning form. Red Windsor secured a clear-cut victory on his most recent outing over 2m3f and can give the selection most to think about, while Star Flyer also merits consideration.
