VERDICT: To The Limit was a game winner of a four-runner affair over slightly shorter at Kelso last month, but a 5lb rise in the ratings, coupled with the fact he is racing from 2lb out the handicap, leaves him with no margin for error and preference is for Patient Owner. Henry Oliver's gelding has seen the form of his good second over 3m at Uttoxeter on New Year's Eve boosted by the third and fourth both scoring since and although he has gone up 2lb for that, he is entitled to come on plenty for that chasing debut. Aire Valley Lad failed to fire when favourite for a competitive 3m event at Wetherby latest, but has claims on his victory over that same C&D off 4lb lower the time before.
