VERDICT: Mohatu has progressed with each start to date and got off the mark here at the beginning of the month when stepping up to a mile for the first time. The manner in which he finished his race off suggested an extra couple of furlongs may bring about further improvement and the son of Roaring Lion could take advantage of his opening handicap mark. Mighty River didn't quite get home over a furlong further at Kempton last month, but the drop back in trip is likely to see him in the mix. Tabaretta and Khal also have viable claims.
