VERDICT: Nostrum looks sure to be popular following his victory in a Group 3 over C&D a couple of weeks ago, although he will have to improve on that form. With that in mind, a chance can be taken on Aesop's Fables, whose odds-on defeat in the National Stakes last time may have been due to the soft ground. On a quicker surface in the Futurity prior to that defeat, the son of No Nay Never was an impressive winner and he can be given another chance. Chaldean is capable of going well if allowed to dominate up front, while Naval Power is another to consider.
