VERDICT: The Lucinda Russell-trained Green Vault had excuses for his disappointing effort when attempting to complete the hat-trick over hurdles at Ayr in February, having lost a shoe, and is fancied to get off the mark at the first time of asking over the larger obstacles. The likely danger is Robin Des Fox, who is rated 2lb inferior to the selection over hurdles and looks the type who could take to fences. Jet Fighter was narrowly denied on his first start for Brian Ellison at Market Rasen last month and Brian Hughes retains the partnership.
