VERDICT: In an open event, marginal preference is for Simply Sondheim. George Boughey's charge arrives in search of a seventh straight victory having risen 31lb in the handicap this season and, in receipt of weight all round, another bold bid appears highly likely. La Yakel made a successful handicap debut at Ascot last month and demands the utmost respect, along with First Ruler, who rates best of the Godolphin trio. Maksud was far from disgraced in Listed company on his latest outing and is another to consider in a first-time hood.
