VERDICT: Hugos New Horse made a pleasing start when winning a bumper at Worcester last October and, although he didn't look entirely straightforward when well beaten in a Listed contest at Ascot in December, he has been given plenty of time to mature and, with more improvement likely, he looks the one to side with with Harry Cobden back in the saddle. Collectors Item showed plenty of ability when second in a bumper in March on his first start under Rules and he looks the biggest danger, ahead of Christian Williams' Gladiatus, who could be a useful recruit from the point-to-point scene.
