VERDICT: A competitive handicap in which Wynford is greatly respected in his bid to repeat last year's victory off a 4lb higher mark. Preference, though, is for the progressive mare Flat White, who has won her last two starts at Catterick with authority and could still be well treated off a mark of 71. Tendentious is a player if bouncing back to the form of his penultimate start at Thirsk, while course-specialist Flint Hill cannot be ruled out either.
