VERDICT: Ve Day recorded a promising third on his handicap bow at Newbury last month and it seemed a step up to 1m4f suited the son of Churchill on that occasion. There could be more to come, but the Sir Mark Prescott-trained Arclight built on her seasonal debut to finish a good second over 1m2f at Brighton last month. She kept on well during that outing, so a step up in distance might see her bounce back to winning form, while Age Of Sail looks a big threat with his most recent run in mind.
