Oisin Murphy will seek to build international momentum after riding a double on his British return at Kempton Park on Wednesday night.
The four-time champion jockey made his first home appearance of 2025 at the all-weather venue following a busy winter abroad, which included a win at Cape Town racecourse in South Africa and three rides at Florida’s Gulfstream Park on Saturday night.
Teaming up with Quai De Bethune in a one-mile maiden, Murphy was immediately off the mark before following up in a seven-furlong handicap with Midnight Dream.
With confidence riding high, Murphy will continue to mix and match his domestic commitments with appearances at some of the big international winter fixtures.
He said: “It was nice to start my riding year in Britain well.
“This time of year is busy with international trips and over the next month I’ll be riding in Mumbai, Qatar, Saudi and Dubai.
“I enjoyed riding in South Africa recently and it was great to ride a winner for Snaith Racing.
“Reflecting on last night, it was lovely to be back in the weighing room with familiar faces and as usual Kieran O’Neill provided plenty of banter!
“I’m looking forward to the coming weeks and months and please god, I can ride well and stay healthy.”
