VERDICT: Unicorn Alert caught the eye when running on from a long way back to finish a close-up 5th in a similar course-and-distance event recently with first-time blinkers fitted. He is drawn wide again but should remain competitive, even without the headgear. Noon Day Gun is closely matched and weighted to pose more of a threat on 0.5kg better weight terms. Empire State was backed that day when finishing sandwiched between those rivals but unlucky not to have done better.
